Rex Ryan Wants to Coach the Jets for Next 15 Years

The New York Jets?have been bad, spectacularly bad, this season. After missing the postseason for the second straight year, it is very likely we may see another coach taking Rex Ryan's place. The Daily News?recently ran a piece that suggested Ryan would rather be fired if New York doesn't make personnel changes, but AP Sports Writer Dennis Waszak Jr. reported the opposite may be true. Ryan was quoted saying. "'There was a report that was untrue.?The fact is, and it's simple: This is the only team that I want to coach. Period. This is my team. These are my players. I don't want to coach somebody else's players. This is the team I want to coach.''

Ryan went on to say the Daily News report made him "mad as a hornet" ?(not the best analogy, but then again, his team isn't that great either) and "There's no bigger Jet than me. I want to be the Jets' head coach for the next 15 years.''

The loyalty is admirable but at this point it's out of Ryan's hands. The bigger question is if owner Woody Johnson still wants him after New York's struggles.
