Position Summary:

Provide comprehensive administrative support for the Compensation unit within HRM. Conduct job evaluations of non-exempt and co-op positions and make salary recommendations for non-exempt reclassifications and promotions. Take a lead role in position management by performing related table updates to HRIS (Banner HR and PeopleAdmin), researching and resolving issues as needed. Update position data from both paper and electronic source documents. Propose improvements to position management processes. Review, research, and approve Extra Compensation and HR/Payroll Action Forms for compliance with policy. Assist with compensation and position management training. Assist with management of Reward & Recognition programs. Respond to annual compensation surveys; maintain related survey database and generate compensation reports. Maintain compensation department files and job descriptions, both hard-copy and electronic, and respond to requests for copies of descriptions. Serve as first point of contact for questions regarding compensation processes and practices.

Qualifications:

Two years college coursework in business, human resources or related subject area required; bachelor?s degree a plus. Minimum of 3 years of related office experience with high level of customer service; human resources experience strongly preferred. Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel; Access experience would be a plus. Experience with Banner HR or similar HRIS system required; experience with PeopleAdmin preferred. Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills required. Must have proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work with a diverse population.
